For over 20 years, Ecoventura has shared the enchantment of the Galapagos Islands, our planets most precious and unique ecosystem, with thousands of travelers and enriched lives with an extraordinary profusion of exotic and often endemic flora and fauna. As a family-owned expedition cruise company, we are committed to providing our valued guests an authentic experience in small compatible groups, offering good value, as well as a safe and memorable, mind-expanding voyage.

Galapagos-BoobieAs both owner and operator based in Ecuador, we have full control over the consistent high quality level we provide on our fleet of expedition vessels. The sister yachts Eric, Flamingo & Letty, feature ten double outside facing cabins over three decks with polished teak wood interiors; two twin lower beds or one double bed with large private bathroom. Cozy public areas; dining room, well-stocked bar, lounge/conference area with library, make guests feel at home on their private yacht. Picture windows offer spectacular panoramic views of the landscape. Catch the ocean breezes on our spacious, partially shaded sun-deck with lounge chairs or two observation points on deck. Our crews strive for personalized service and home cooked, healthy meals, featuring local and organic ingredients with both international and Ecuadorian specialties from our well-trained chefs.

Visitors explore these sites in small groups of no more than ten guests per guide to ensure intimate up-close wildlife encounters. Engage in varied activities including guided nature walks, wildlife photography, bird watching, snorkeling, kayaking, dingy rides, whale-watching and star-gazing. Two double and one single kayak, custom 3mm wet suits, masks, fins and snorkels, beach towels and mesh bag are all provided at no additional charge.

Galapagos-Turtle-2Ecoventura has become a recognized leader in sustainable tourism in the Galapagos Islands and was the first company to earn and maintain the voluntary certification, SmartVoyager since 2000, a program developed by The Rainforest Alliance and CC&D. This ensures our operation complies with a set of strict environmental policies and social responsibility including producing our own water, waste management, using four stroke engines to providing good living conditions and benefits to our crews. In 2011, Ecoventura was awarded with the Rainforest Alliance Verified mark that alerts customers they are buying a service from a business that cares about its impact on the planet and local communities and has taken measureable steps to reduce that impact.
